Blog address recovery
-
So I got rid of a blog site because I was hoping to make it the same as all my others but when I tried to input the address I didn’t realise at the time that it had set it as something else now whenever I try to change it back, it will not let me so is there a way for me to get the old blog site back after deleting it, or did I fuck up.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

so to explain in more detail I got rid of one of my sites called eckarth.wordpress.com it was a privet site as I’ve not had the time to do any work on it till now, I wanted to redo the site to make it similar to the rest of my sites so I deleted it and when I tried to create a new site and input the site address I unknowingly got eckarthblog.wordpress.com and when I went to change it back to eckarth.wordpress.com it would not allow me saying the site had already been used, is there a way of me getting the old site back

Unfortunately you cannot use them again. Deleting a domain name deletes it forever (not really) but the recovery time is too high or it may not be released back at all. This is done to prevent your domain name from being misused by others.

Thank you for the reply 4gn3I. I’d hoped there was another way, but if I have to wait then I will wait, this is not the first time I’ve had to wait for a name to become available again.

According to the recycling blog addresses support document, sites (address) deleted by their authors can take two or more years to become available again, if they present no username or other technical conflicts.
So, I would recommend you to pick another desirable address for your blog and get started.
