Blog apparently causing a DoS attack against someone

Apparently, this right winger responded to someone calling him a Terrorist supporter because (and he does appear to be) he is giving aid and comfort to Dan Holman of the Army of God (the most notorious Terrorist group in the United States) Check out http://www.armyofgod.com/danholman.html to see what this guy is supporting here at wordpress. This Doug guy at TheReaganWing.wordpress.com claims to be a family-values Reagan supporter. Well, it looks like not only is physical Terrorism his family values, but so is exposing commenters to DoS attacks.

If it doesn’t stop, I may report it to Law Enforcement. Denial of Service attacks are illegal.

  • Please see http://wordpress.com/complaints/ for information on how to make a complaint about a WordPress.com blog.

  • Unknown's avatar

If it isn’t resolved, it will be reported to Law Enforcement, with a statement that wordpress is allowing it.

  • Unknown's avatar

Did you follow the link tellyworth gave you above to make your complaint?

  • Unknown's avatar

As far as I know, WordPress.com technology cannot be used to make DoS attacks. If someone is doing this, he’s using different technology. This is like going after somebody’s basketball instead of his gun.

  • Unknown's avatar

thesacredpath: yes. so far this hasn’t been resolved.

raincoaster: wordpress.com apparently gives the IP address of someone who posts a comment, and this is what he used. wordpress.com is being used to propagate an IP address for cyberTerrorism.

The issue started when I brought it to Doug’s attention that he was aiding and abetting a member of the most notorious Terrorist group on US soil. I even linked him to the Terrorist’s own website in my comment http://www.armyofgod.com/danholman.html (check out the parent site http://www.armyofgod.com/ for more info on Army of God).

Apparently, Doug was well aware of his friend’s status as a Terrorist, and instead of posting my FYI comment, he decides to post my IP and then lie about what I said to him, and to lie about his Terrorist friend, and to lie about himself.

What we see here is the modus-operandi for the American right wing. A posted IP always ends up in a cyber-Terrorist attack (usually DoS) with these people.

If wordpress.com supports such activities, then I will note the fact for future use on my own.

I’ve done research on Dougie since this time yesterday, and it’s pretty bad when a rather extremist State republican party considers him to be an extremist!!

Anyhow, I just left the following as a final comment to Dougie:

    ——————————–

    Doug. You have 5.5 hours.

Do you really want everyone in the Washington State GOP knowing that
you condone internet attacks against people, and that you support
    the Army of God?

All I did was inform you that you were supporting a member of the
most notorious Terrorist group on US soil, and you retaliated with
    cyber-Terrorism.

Do you have a day job? What would your employer think about you
supporting Terrorists? Or are you already unemployable?

It’s your choice. If you want your political career going down for
supporting a piece of dog shit member of Army of God, then so be it.

Noon Pacific Standard Time, and I go on autopilot.

It doesn’t have to end that way, and let me reiterate how it can be
    different:

1). Remove all reference to my IP address.

2). Post a link to Dan’s Army of God webpage.

3). Simply say you were mistaken about the man, and publically
    apologize to me.

I think that’s not asking too much, after all, doing so will keep
you the few friends you have left in the Washington State Republican
    Party.

Refuse to, and I’ll see that you end up doing a perp-walk in
handcuffs out of your house for cyber-Terrorism, and that everyone
in your local and State party knows you support Army of God Terrorists.

Denial of Service attacks are illegal, and it was YOUR party that
passed that law, you should know that.

If you weren’t a rank amateur in politics, you’d realize I’m giving
you a chance to save face.

I might add, that I will follow through at noon Pacific Standard Time.

If it comes to me having to deal with the problem myself, I don’t care if he puts a gun in his mouth and pulls the trigger by the time I’m done with him, if he can’t handle my response to his and wordpress.com’s inaction on this, then, I won’t give a damn, and it’ll be just one less scumbag Terrorist-supporter in the world.

  • Unknown's avatar

Just in case you don’t know, if you go to comments in your own blog dashboard, you will see that you have the IP address of every person who has commented on your blog. As far as I know, all blogging software provides this information to the blog owner.

  • Unknown's avatar

thesacredpath: yes, but someone who intentionally posts that to an audience that knows that when an IP is posted to attack that IP, and that IP gets attacked as the one he posted has, then it becomes criminal.

  • Unknown's avatar

You also have the email address they registered at wordpress.com with on every comment made.

  • Unknown's avatar

Keep in mind, I’m not calling wordpress.com criminal, I understand how this works as a programmer myself, I’m just saying that Dougie doesn’t appear to care what happens to him, and that he initiated a DoS attack.

  • Unknown's avatar

I’m also saying that he still has the IP on the page, and if wordpress.com won’t intervene, I’ll do things myself, and like I said, this guy is unstable, and I don’t care if he blows his own head off by the time I’m done destroying his political career (cyberTerrorism and aiding and abetting Army of God).

  • Unknown's avatar

    tellyworth posted:

Please see http://wordpress.com/complaints/ for information on how to make a complaint about a WordPress.com blog.

  • Unknown's avatar

timethief: I’ll check my mail, but it’s going on what? 14 hours for support@wordpress.com to deal with the problem?? This is taking too long, and I don’t like lost time.

Just checked, and still no response.

At noon Pacific, I take things into my own hands. If the guy goes postal, I will tell the press that it could have been prevented by wordpress.com simply removing my ip address from where he posted it.

  • Unknown's avatar

Remember, I’m talking about a man who is defending the actions of the Olympic bombaers, clinic bombers, etc….

  • Unknown's avatar

This is not a matter volunteers can assist you with and I believe that you do know that.
Please see http://wordpress.com/complaints/ for information on how to make a complaint about a WordPress.com blog.

  • Unknown's avatar

timethief: maybe you should contact them… I have already. i sent followup information twice. i also sent a status inquiry going on an hour or so ago. Still no response, and we are talking over half a day already.

If this guy goes postal because of what it looks like I’m going to have to do to him, the blood is on wordpress’s hands, and I’ll tell that to the press.

  • Unknown's avatar

Do your own research on Doug Parris. He is an unstable person.

  • Unknown's avatar

Oh, and my bad… It’s been over 18 hours since the first email I sent to support@wordpress.com
