Blog Applications

    If this theme isn’t appropriate to this forum, please let me know. I have been working with WP.com so I think I know the basics of what it can or can’t do.

    I am trying to understand the spectrum of blogging applications that exist along the personal-commercial continum.

    I have seen commerical “blogs” (i.e. SeatGuru.com) which appear to have more functionality than personal blogging software. Are there examples of WP.org being used right out of the box for commercial sites?

    Can anyone talk about the functional differences between applications used for personal blogging and that used for commerical reasons? How does content mangement systems come into play.
