Blog as a subpage

Hi,
I would like to keep my homepage as it is and create a subpage which would be like a blog. In this subpage, I d like to publish different articles and have different bloc (ie: last posts, search box, etc).
I can’t sort it out. The only thing I have found is the sames subpages I already set up…

You should be able to create a new page, for example, call it ‘blog’, and then go to customize next to theme and then >> Homepage Settings >> and set your posts page to be a static page, the page called ‘blog’, now everything you put in posts, will show up on that page, so you could post your different articles as posts.
Then you would want to add the new page ‘blog’ to your menu to make it easily accessible.
I believe this would accomplish what you would like.
If that doesn’t give enough functionality, you could always go with a completely new WordPress for these articles and linked them as well. You would just build your new WordPress for the articles, take the URL and add it as a custom link to your menu on the original site.

Thanks for your answer Jamison but it doesn’t work. If I create a new page “blog” and then go to customize, the only page I can customize is my current homepage, not the page “blog” which is exactly my problem.
If I create a new page, even if I choose “homepage” as template, it would stay as a page and wouldn’t appear in the customize menu… -
