blog as subdomain of site instead of guided transfer?

  can i obtain the files and database for my wordpress.com installation and put it under a subdomain such as blog.social-ite.info instead of having a guided transfer?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Ignore that answer, it’s garbage.

  What you want is just the domain mapping upgrade for a subdomain http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/

  Ignore the spam between your two posts

  You can map your blog here as a sub-domain to your existing web site $ 13.–/ year – – or you can Export your blog and import it to a WordPress.ORG install on your site, in a sub-domain of your site

  You can’t get the MySQL files for the transfer – must be an Export/Import

  Nothing changes except the URL. And the old URL still works, so you don’t lose any followers. They’re just subscribed to the old URL.
