I created a draft file, in which I jotted down a lot of random thoughts that I plan to convert into a post in the next couple days. It automatically set itself to publish, and I couldn’t stop it.
1. I tried clicking “revert to draft”, and it continued to countdown to posting.
2. I then tried to change the publication date to a couple weeks out, thinking I’d correct it when the post was ready. The blue circle appeared on the desired date, but the countdown continued and moments later the post was published.
3. My only solution was to make the published post private.I routinely create drafts into which I dump links, thoughts, pictures, etc. I’ve never had this problem before. Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem? Is it a glitch in WP, or am I doing something wrong?

1) Chances either it must be set to a Scheduled Publish, as posts don’t get published unless you Publish them.
2) Could you elaborate which Post did you try, as one’s you click on Revert To Draft, it gets in your Drafts list, definitely out from the Posts lists.
3)You cannot change the Publication date, there is something going on with Publish side.As drafts, revert Drafts, Publish seem to be working absolutely fine, I tried it personally on a couple of demo sites.
Just try clearing Cache, cookies and Refresh using some instructions here Browser IssuesLet us know how it goes, would be happy to assist you further.. !
