Blog building and installation

  I am trying to build and install a blog page on my website via wordpress, but I am lost. I have never built a blog and I don’t know where to start. How do I build a blog and then install it on my menu on my website?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes I have an existing website. I am new to web building, so please bare with me. I think I currently have a blog working within the template. I was able to add a menu to the website that says “Blog/News” however when I click on the menu it does not open the blog. It opens a window and inside that window http://thetitancorps.com/?page_id=194 in that window I have to click read more or click on the number bubble in the top right of the screen to open the blog. My question is two fold. Is this an active working blog and how can I set up this page so when people click on the menu item the page opens with the full blog such as this websites blog: http://www.timeofthefaeries.com/newsupdates/

  Another question, how do I change the page id from page_id=194 to something more descriptive “/newsupdates/”
