blog burnout
-
I’m just thinking about my latest obsession with blogging and how I’ve created five blogging accounts in five days and how I’m trying to build communities and write running novellas on each blog and how there’s just so much to do! Always so much to do and people like us can never rest, never sit back and appreciate the work that we have done. It’s as if inside each person there is this bottomless craving for more and no matter what we do we can’t seem change that. There’s always more to be done, and better, and what happens when we give up? Then we feel even worse. Or we can’t give up because we’re so driven. REading the NYTimes this morning, it said that two prominent bloggers had died and they attribute the cause to blogging. They couldn’t stop, and so they dropped dead. Man, I hope that never happens to me. I can already feel the addiction, the feeling of connecting to hundreds of people and having them read your work. It’s enough to keep one going–until their body gives out. Maybe you’re not like this, but this is me. I’m never satisfied with my work.
