Blog categories

Hi – I’m trying to set up a website that features a blog. What’s the best way to do this? The theme I’m using is . I’d like to have a menu that features a customizeable home section, an about section, a services section and a blog. If I do it this way, how to do I then make it so when people navigate to the blog, there will be a page that features a menu of blog topic options ( i.e. social media, content marketing, etc). OR should I just set up the site itself with these categories so when they first enter the site they see home, about me, social media, content marketing, etc. If so, how do I do that? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
I am happy to clarify that for you.
I’m trying to set up a website that features a blog. What’s the best way to do this?
By default, the front page of your WordPress.com site will display latest posts from your blog. If you would like to create a more traditional website, you can set a static “home” page instead.
Currently, your website samkerstetter.wordpress.com seems to use the Latest Posts on the front page.how to do I then make it so when people navigate to the blog, there will be a page that features a menu of blog topic options ( i.e. social media, content marketing, etc).
There are a few options to do this.
We can make use of the Category Pages and add those category pages to the menu or as a submenu under Blog menu.

Add submenu items- https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#3-organize-your-menu-and-add-sub-menus-drop-down-menusWe can also add the Categories Widget in the sidebar. It will list all the categories on your website like social media, content marketing, etc.
