blog changed from public to private, when does it stop showing on googl?

  have changed public blog to private, posts still showing on google which is irritating, when will they disappear from visibility? hours, days, weeks? otherwise what is point turning it to private?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  In a few weeks. Setting it to private gets it off Google faster than deleting it.

  sorry one more thing, i sent out invites to people last night is there a delay before they receive or could it just be they havent opened yet?
