Blog changes comments and name of site to a “hate blog”

  • Unknown's avatar

I recently posted on a site that changed comments and changed the name of the entire blog to a “hate blog”. I asked for my comments to be taken down and instead they posted my request and did not remove the original comment. Later, the site was linked to defamatory comments on twitter. How do I find out who the administrator is? I feel duped and don’t want any part of this.

Problem with another blog violating rules

If the blog is hosted here at WordPress.COM you can report if to the staff: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

If it is not on WordPress.COM you can try a search on Whois and see if the Admin is listed with contact info, you can also go to the host and see if you can get the site taken down, tough to do but it has been done.

The folks at http://wordpress.org/support/ , self hosted WordPress sites might have some more advice.

    good luck

Because you are the owner of the copyright on the comments, you may also be successful with a DMCA notice to the web host. NOT the blog admin, the web host.
