My blog content has disappeared, name http://ravenssong.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php. I had a domain name from you ravensong.name I thought it was on automatic renewal. regardless where is my content quite a few posts gone. I wish to start a new blog under my account but need to know what has happened before investing the time if it can just disappear. Is there a way that I can do a backup incase yours fails. Help. Paddy

the name was ravensong.name and i thought that the email below from wordpress sorted out its continuance;

That was the domain mapping – you still need to renew the domain name with your registrar – do you remember where you you registered the name?
Your content is safe unless you delete it – just not easy to reach

I did a who is and it came up Domain Name ID: 5144992DOMAIN-NAME
Domain Name: RAVENSONG.NAME
Domain Status: clientTransferProhibited
Domain Status: clientUpdateProhibitedSo it does not look like me so I must have lost the name. Which is OK I was sort of finished with it. But it alarmed me that the content disappeared. I am wanting to start a couple of new blogs and want to know how to retrieve or safeguard information before I invest more time. So how do i retrieve the contents of my blog. Thanks for the help guys/girls Paddy

We can only register .com, .net, .org, and .me domains here.
ravensong.name is mapped here, not registered through us. I recommend contacting your domain registrar to recover the domain.
For now, you can access the Dashboard of the WordPress.com blog and switch the primary domain via Store -> Domains in the blog’s Dashboard.
I can do it for you, but I’ll need to receive the request from the user who owns the mapping subscription.

Hi macmanx, I would like to just have my blog return to its wordpress name, since I seem to have lost my domain name. The wordpress name is https://ravenssong.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php, which is still there but has lost all its posts. I own the account http://zendancer.wordpress.com/ under which I have the ravensong blog. What information do you need from me to get the content back.
Another questions if I have purchased upgrades do they apply to all the blogs under my account or only one. Thank you happiness engineer -

Upgrades are per-blog only. They do not apply to all blogs under your account.

Hi I am confused, I clicked the links to ravensong.name and ravensongpaddy.wordpress com in your reply above and got sites that have nothing to do with me. My user name is (email visible only to moderators and staff) and when I access my account the ravensongpaddy.wordpress.com blog listed as one of my blogs has no posts.
Can you access that account I can supply my password if necessary -
That’s my point, ravensongpaddy.wordpress.com is not under your account, ravenssong.wordpress.com is.
Your account is not the one which paid to map ravensong.name.
A different user account paid to map ravensong.name, and that user account mapped it to ravensongpaddy.wordpress.com, which your zendancer account does not have access to.
It sounds like you just have two different accounts with us and are currently logged in to the wrong one.

I got in to that and content is there. It looks like my domain name is gone so I changed primary name to ravensongpaddy.wordpress.com which should soon make it searchable. Thanks for your patience. Paddy -
