Blog creation

ok I’m feeling like an idiot. Not sure if something is wrong with my approach or my application. a couple of years ago I created my own web site (for something different) but I cant seem to get a blog going? From applying a theme on… I seem to be questioning everything and I’m not sure I am approaching this correctly! UGH I just need help getting started. I want to create a blog to help others through the despair of dealing with autoimmune issues… but I suspect the blog will also have another component to it… sort of approach other subjects and help with life itself….with a ‘dear abbey’ kind of forum… I’m old enough to help a lot of folks (especially younger ones with less experience) with questions from health, to what to do on the job to to raising babies… kind of like getting motherly advice…. only for some folks better cause its not their mom lol!
Has somebody got a 4 wheeler that can pull me out of this mud?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s a learning curve true, but if you keep it simple to begin with you’ll be fine. Click on “My Site” and “Posts” or “Pages” and replace the placeholders with your own content or click “Add” for further posts/pages. Don’t forget to click on “Customize” and “Site Identity” and give your new blog a title. Then it’s a matter of learning all the stuff your theme can do:-

Thank you rock star! I was perusing your site. Love it. .. and of course I had to click where it said “don't click here” this gave me a good laugh…. I actually considered the possible repercussions of clicking there before I did it….. Ive always been such a rule follower….I'm trying to come out of my shell … After 50 years LOL.
