  ok so there is already a page called that and maybe that’s why I couldn’t fully change my domain to thebookofmark

  That would be the most likely explanation. Try creating a blog with a different address.

  funny how it let me change everything else to that but wouldn’t actually change the domain like the instructions said

  Well more than one site can have the same name, but not the same address, so if someone was already using that address it wouldn’t let you use it.
