Blog Deactivated?
-
I am confused and more than a bit sad in my confusion. For the last two months I’ve been working on a blog that has basically been a fan site for a game I’ve been playing. I’ve had great community support and I’ve been writing a story or lore for the entire community getting other safe houses (often referred to as guilds in other games) involved. I’ve taken the time to interview them and write them into the story and a huge amount of my time has gone into this.
Tonight I went to post the lastest feature and recieved the message:
“This blog has been deactivated because we believe it does not comply with the WordPress.com Terms of Service or advertising policy.
If your blog is designed to promote affiliate links, get rich quick programs, banner ads, consists solely or mostly of duplicate or automatically generated material, or is part of a search engine marketing campaign, WordPress.com is not the place for you. Please use the Export feature to move your content to a more appropriate hosting service.
Occasionally we make mistakes. If you believe we have misclassified your blog, please click here to contact us as soon as possible so we can fix the problem.”
None of these things fit the description of my fan site! I’ve followed the link to be contacted but obviously don’t expect to be contacted this evening. I have no email warning me that this happened. Can anyone give me an idea of how long it might take to be contacted? Having seen a page that describes that paying customers are the only ones contacted I’m concerned I might not hear back from WordPress at all. If they need me to change something I’ll be willing to do it, I just want to know what I did wrong if anything at all. I can’t believe how heart broken I am over this project.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Use the link in the warning to directly contact the Terms of Service people to discuss it. They will not discuss such things in the forums and have asked that everyone refrain from discussing them here.
Contact them and work with them. They are reasonable.

Thank you I’ve been searching the forums and found that this won’t be discussed, nor did I want an answer as to why I was deactivated on the forums. I was hoping more for an idea of the turn around time for the staff so I know how long to expect before I hear back.
It might not be reasonable to expect an answer on that either though and I understand that.

The turnaround time can be as little as a few minutes or as long as several days, particularly if files have to be deleted. Generally it takes two days, in my experience. And check your email, and be SURE to check your email spam folder, because sometimes their responses get sent to spam.

Thank you again for those who contacted me regarding turn around time and what to expect. The staff has been in touch with me and restored my site. The response time from the staff was way better than I hoped!
