    Can I safely delete my wordpress.com account after migrating my domain to wordpress.org? If it affects anything, I know my account is saying under my account setting that my wordress.com site is linked to the other.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey prcapitalgroup,

    If you have registered your domain name here and you’re redirecting it to your WordPress.org blog then you can’t delete this account.

    But if you have your domain name registered with any third party registrar like GoDaddy then you can delete it.

    Your WordPress.org website is linked to your WordPress.com account using Jetpack plugin and it’s important to have a WordPress.com because that’s how you use Gravatar, Jetpack, Akismet etc.

    But if you still wish to deactivate, refer to this support document.
