Blog deleted from dashboard but not from WordPress?????

  I had a blog (http://writingalchemy.wordpress.com) that I thought I’d deleted. It no longer appears in my dashboard but when I type the URL, I can still see it. I just received (via email) a request to moderate comments, but I can’t seem to find a way to get to it now to delete it or moderate it or anything else. What went wrong and how can I fix it? I would still like to delete the whole blog, including all archived content. Please help.

  You must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered any blog to access it.

  All blogs are independent and deleting one blog registered under any username account does not affect any others registered under the same username account.

  Provided you are logged in under the Admin username account that registered the blog in question you can delete any blog registered under that username by using these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  After you do that if you cannot locate a verification email, look in your email client spam/junk mail filter for the email with the blog deletion verification link in it and click that link. If clicking it does not work then copy and paste the link into your upper browser bar and click.

  Deleted blog URLs are not recycled http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  Thanks, Timethief. I didn’t know it, but that blog must have had a different login. I think I’ve got it sorted now, thanks to your help.
