Blog deleted, still I can't register it.

  Hello there,

  I’m trying to create a new blogg but get the message that “Sorry, that site already exists!”. But when I try to visit the URL that supposedly already exists I get the message that “xxx.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this blog.”.

  So my question is, why can´t I recreate a blogg that’s been deleted?

  I’m sorry but we do not allow blog url’s to be recycled. One reason is identity. It is a policy we have always had.

  I have the same problem, but I owned the URL with an account and I wanted to transfer to another account. If I can’t recycle the URL that was mine, can I retake it at the original account?

  If you have a domain name that you registered and paid for, you can use it wherever you want. If you want to move it to a different wordpress.COM blog, contact staff directly and they can move it over for you.

  If you deleted it, you’re still out of luck. Deleted URLs are not recycled here. If you haven’t yet deleted it, for obvious reasons, don’t.
