Blog Deletion Troubles Converting to wordpress.org

Hi, I had built a blog but then realized I wanted to switch it to wordpress.org. The blog I had built on wordpress.com is linked to a domain a purchased on GoDaddy.
While trying to switch over to wordpress.org, however, I’ve been facing a lot of troubles. When I try to log-in to my sitename.org/wp-login it continually redirects me to the wordpress.com blog.
In order to fix that, I deleted my blog (probably a mistake) on wordpress.com, but the site still exists and is redirected to wordpress.com. However, it is telling me that my blog is deleted. Very confused!
What I want is for the .org domain I have (not purchased through wordpress) work with the wordpress.org instead of wordpress.com.

That’s not the blog I need help with. The one I need help with has been deleted so I can’t access it.
