    I apologize for such a delay in communication, I have been tied up in the last few weeks and am about to go on a work trip as we speak.

    If you are referring to the page that I would normally have access to at https://cubreacov.wordpress.com/admin then no, I don’t have access to that page.

    This is the situation that I’m presented with when I visit my admin page – imgur link

    The problem is that I do not quite remember whether the registration e-mail used was the same for all 3 blogs (see the screenshot above with the other 2) or whether a separate one was used in the case of cubreacov.wordpress.com .

    This was a long time ago and the blog was created with the help of what used to be a friend, which is likely to be the culprit for the deletion of the site. My password was unchanged for years, and even though I had removed administration priviliges from him, he still might have been able to log in.

    Please let me know what is the best course of action and whether the information can in any way be restored.

    P.P.S.: I made sure: cubreacov.wordpress.com was the third blog on that list.

    I don’t necessarily need the same domain address, but what I need is to restore my articles that I worked very hard on.

    Yes, we can help you recover the site. It was deleted 2 weeks ago by the adminr user account.

    In order to go further in our efforts to help, I need for you to sign in to the adminr user account and come back here to post. This way I can confirm that you have access to that account.

    If you have trouble signing in then use the password reset link, or the account recovery form.

    I am not sure whether adminr and admin accounts are the same thing, but this account IS the admin one for https://cubreacov.wordpress.com .

    Because logging in to https://cubreacov.wordpress.com/admin still prompts me with “is no longer available”, this is the only proof I can provide:

    a notification about the scheduled publication of an article on my blog

    A google search result listing the same article on my blog.

    Hi Vlad –

    In order to work on this site we need you to sign in to the user account adminr.

    The user account name is adminr and that’s not the same thing as an admin account. It’s the actual username that you need to sign in with at WordPress.com.

    Once you are able to sign in with that user account write back to us in this forum thread. Then we can proceed with helping.

    Currently you are signed in with the vladcubreacov user account and not the adminr one. I hope this helps sort out the confusion.

    Hello Eliza,

    I finally understand. I (Vlad’s son) thought that it was very unlikely for such a username to exist in association with my father.

    It turns out that when the blog was made many years back, adminr was the admin account for the blog. It was when people were first familiarizing themselves with wordpress, and my father used the help of a “friend” to create and manage his blog. It turns out that said “friend” and owner of the login credentials for the adminr account has suddenly and inexplicably decided to delete my father’s blog.

    I’m not sure what there is to be done in this situation barring talking to the culprit.

    What solutions do you offer?

    Hi Dan, sorry to hear that.

    Is there any way you can get in touch with the site owner and have them reach out to us? We can restore the account still (so long as it’s done within 30 days) but we must hear from the site owner before we can proceed.

    Hello Supernova,

    Could you please let me know when will the 30 days expire? I need to know how much time we’ve got so I can decide on the correct approach. 10 days to go will throw diplomacy out the window and I’ll go straight to beating the credentials out of the guy (I’m joking here) :D
    In all seriousness though, it would help plan things so that I can account for the extra day or two of communication with you guys should things go according to plan.

    Dan, you’ll definitely want to get it taken care of as soon as possible, since the site was deleted 2 weeks ago.

    You don’t need the credentials from this person, but you do need to have them get in touch with us. They are still able to log in because they just deleted their site, so just have them log in and update us here with permission to restore the site and transfer it to you.
