Blog Disappeared, Link No Longer Working

    Hi All,

    New to word press. I created a simple blog, however I now cannot find any trace of it on my wordpress homepage or on the link i created – https://susdhs.home.blog/2019/03/14/susd0001/.

    I am certain I saved and tested the previously.

    Any suggestions?

    Have you confirmed the email WordPressdotcom sent you to verify your email address as a part of setting up your site? If you didn’t receive it, please check your spam folder and any special inboxes/filters you might have in your email program.

    If you have already verified your email address, try launching your site from My Sites>Settings>General>Privacy

    If that still doesn’t work, please try logging in with a different browser to launch your site.

    If that still doesn’t work, please reply here and let us know if you are getting any error message and what it says.

    Let us know how that goes.

    Hi justjennifer,

    Thanks for your reply. I have tried those methods with no success.

    My issue is that I have already created the blog & posted quite a lot of information on it. All of which occurred after I confirmed my email etc.

    Im unsure why the blog give the message of”something awesome is coming” but cannot find this blog under “My Sites” or any of the information I have added to it.

    That is the place holder page that appears until you’ve launched your site.

    If you’ve confirmed your email address, you should be able to change your site’s Privacy setting and launch your site from the My Sites>Settings>General>Privacy and change it from Private to Public. Remember to save your changes.

    I have created a dummy blog and can access the settings menu, but cannot see anything for the original blog domain.

    Prior to creating a dummy blog site, I couldn’t access settings at all.

    I simply can’t find any trace of my first blog – https://susdhs.home.blog/2019/03/14/susd0001

    Hello again, is susdhs.home.blog the dummy blog or the original blog domain?

    You still haven’t let us know if you’ve tried changing your site Privacy settings at the link I provided above.

    Let’s see if we can get some help from Staff. I’ve tagged this thread for their attention.

    That link is the original blog.

    When I click the link provide to change privacy settings, I am redirected to the dummy blog at a different URL titled ‘sustainable development’ – https://wordpress.com/settings/general/sustainabldevelopment.wordpress.com

    Here’s what I can see:

    https://susdhs.home.blog/ has not been launched. It’s still set to private.
    Read over this page and follow the instructions there to adjust your privacy settings.

    Please note: susdhs.home.blog is not connected the user account that you’re using here. You’ll need to sign in with your other email address to access that account. I’ll send a note via email to the address on that account to try and help you get signed in correctly.

    The account that you’re using here hamsim has registered a different site. That site is sustainabldevelopment.wordpress.com.
