Although destroywhiteboy.com has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers. If your domain is mapped to a self-hosted site, then your configuration may be fine as currently set up. If you wish to host your site at WordPress.com, you will need to update your nameservers as outlined below.

WordPress.com does not accept incoming domain transfers. You can however map an existing domain.

    Important Notes Before Upgrading http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#important-notes-before-upgrading

In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.

See here for mapping an existing domain that you already own http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

We provide support here at WordPress.COM only free free hosted WordPress>COM blogs and no others. If you are NOT trying to map to an existing domain from a free hosted WordPress.COM blog then contact web host.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names.
    http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

    Hi

The blog is a WordPress.com blog and we have purchased a domain name through WordPress.com and is mapped. This has been working fine for 2 years, and the error only arose yesterday.

    Please advise.

    Thanks

Is it possible that your domain mapping has expired?
Please check > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades

I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Bottom line: The nameservers must point to WordPress.com.

My domain name expires in August 2014 and it says that the registration is active. Thanks for your help, look forward to hearing from the support team.

I don’t know if the information on robowhois.com is out of date, but it looks like your domain expired on Sept 26

    Check it out:

It did, but we have paid the fee and the domain name registration is active. Maybe the renewal has been incorrectly processed?

The blog is a WordPress.com blog and we have purchased a domain name through WordPress.com and is mapped.

As you may have noticed already, that domain is not registered through WordPress.com. It is registered through http://www.crazydomains.com. Someone appears to have renewed it and I’m now seeing the expiration date being 2014-09-26.

As of right now, I am seeing http://destroywhiteboy.com/ point correctly to your WordPress.com site.

It can take 24-48 hours for domain/DNS changes to propagate throughout the internet, this includes renewing a domain after it has passed the expiration date. It typically happens faster than that, but it really depends on your ISPs update frequency. If you are still not seeing the correct site appear after 48 hours has elapsed, please contact me again.

Also, do let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.
