Blog does not upload. Also how do I back up content please?

    This blog does not upload any more and I wonder why. Also can you point me to a source for downloading and backing up content please?

    Quick update: I am able to view the site on mobile but not on a desktop. Also I am able to export the content. Thanks for any support you can provide.

    What seems to be happening when uploading to the site, are you seeing any error messages at all?

    Also, can you tell if you’re uploading via the app?

    Thank you for your reply. I basically see a white screen and only when I hit refresh the blog uploads. It seems to be better on mobile. I am not using an app for my PC. Wondering if there is particular functionality that triggers this. Some blogs appear immediately while others have this issue. There is no particular error message. I’m just wondering if I can avoid it or just tell visitors to keep refreshing.

    Hi there,

    I’m not clear on what exactly is happening:

    If this when you view your site/a blog post in the browser?

    Or is it when you try to create/publish/edit a post from the admin area at My Site?

    Clear your browser cache, and if you’re using any ad-blocker or anti-tracking add-ons in your browser, temporarily disable those. Also unplug your modem/router for a few seconds before restarting it.

    Does that make any difference?

    It seems to be better on mobile.

    When it happens on mobile, are you connected to the same wifi network your computer is on?

    What about when you switch to mobile data? Or if you connect to wifi from a different internet provider, e.g. free wifi at a coffee shop?

    Thanks for these additional suggestions. It happens when I view the blog in a browser. It happened from a variety of devices and whilst connected to at least two networks just to a couple of my blogs, not all. Some very similar blogs in functionality upload w/o any issues whilst two of them need refreshing. I would not bother with it much but one is used for a course, so if I could fix it in future so that students do not have to keep refreshing it would be great.

    What happens if you switch to a different browser? For example if the site won’t load in Chrome, what if you try to visit the affected site in Firefox or Internet Explorer/Edge instead?

    Another thing I’d like you to test, if Chrome is the issue, what if you visit it in an “incognito window” instead of a standard browser window. Any difference?

    Also is this constantly an issue with a specific network? Or does the issue come and go regardless of the network you use.

    On mobile, are you using wifi, or a cellular data (5G, LTE, etc) connection? What if you switch? I.E. do you get the issue on your phone as well, depending on the internet connection you use?

    To clarify, this only affects specific sites? I.E. you have consistent trouble with a few sites, but most others are fine and you never see this issue? You have quite a few sites, can you point out the ones that give you trouble? They have similar names so please be sure to share the URL so we don’t get mixed up.

    This site has this issue and then another one that I have just remade into a new one: https://researchremediatereiterate.wordpress.com/

    I used Chrome and Edge and it’s the same. It needs refreshing to show when it did not use to. When incognito it uploads immediately though. The same issue persists on various networks and regardless of data or wifi.

    At this point I’m just interested in what may be the cause. Hope I covered the points you needed to make sense of it. Thanks again.

    Hi there,

    Our team recently fixed a bug related to the cookies consent banner we show on our sites, and it seems that this was also leading to some odd display issues.

    Now that it’s been fixed, I seem to have no issues with your site loading. Can you confirm it’s working for you now as well? This should also resolve the issue you had with any other sites as well.
