Blog doesn't appear in internet search

Why doesn’t my blog show in a general search on the internet for Weet-bix? Other WordPress blogs appear in a search for Weet-bix.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Apologies it’s not protected, just the one post you have on there is protected, but still that won’t get cataloged, and your blog is a day old, it takes time for Google to pick up new sites.

I visited you site and was greeted by a single password protected post. I found that to be off-putting rather than welcoming.
On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/

Search engines only index public information. In order to get indexed, you must provide public information. Lots of it.
-
I don’t know what you mean by “public information.” I want my blog to be available to the public but I don’t want anyone to be able to alter it.
I think I just have to wait a little longer for google to get it, don’t I?
-
No.
You need to remove the Password protection. Google can’t see past it. Just make a regular Public blog. Nobody but you will be able to alter the contents unless you make a weak and obvious password or add them as Authors or Editors.

Oh, my goodness. Thank you all for your help. I work more than full-time and will never be able to do all that you advise, but I will edit my blog and then remove the password protection. I didn’t have any idea that password protection would block the blog. All I wanted to do with the blog was correct some very erroneous information that is “out there,” concerning my father and Weet-Bix. I will get my son, who is a computer tekkie to help me. Thank you again. You’ve been wonderful.
