Blog doesn't appear on WordPress.com Topics
-
Good day,
Today, for the second day in a row, I’ve tried to search for my blog through different topics/tags, which WordPress.com provides on the http://wordpress.com/#!/topics/ website. And did not succeed. After rechecking my tags and categories, still no luck.
How does a blog end up on that page? Did I do something wrong? Because my blog is searchable for other readers. ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. Please verify the items here:

HI, airodyseey,
Yup, those are all good, and do not affect my blog. What else could it be? -
Staff have said they’re not putting all posts on teh global tag pages. They’re “randomizing” it and playing with algorithms. Until they stop, I don’t know that there’s anything you can do.

Google. Hardly anyone actually uses the tag pages.
I’ll show you how random it is. I’ve been using the category “Occupy Vancouver” daily for two weeks now. I don’t appear on http://wordpress.com/tag/occupy-vancouver at all, but I am the featured blog on http://wordpress.com/tag/occupyvancouver which is a tag I have NEVER used.
That’s how bizarre this is. What makes me think there’s human interference is, all the left-wingers are on the “occupyvancouver” tag page and all the right-wingers are on the “occupy vancouver” tag page.

So, Google would discover sites by these tags and categories? Or just by name?
Thanks for the info! :) -
By name, Links from the Tag and Category pages of WordPress are “nofollow” links now, which means that Search Engines aren’t supposed to count them as a real link to your blog anyway.

Ha, you should have seen what it did to my traffic. From 3600 readers a day to 600. BOOM overnight. Took almost six months for me to get an answer about why it had happened.
