Blog doesn't show up in reader

Hello, I published a blog post about an hour ago, and I can’t see it on my reader. When I searched for the name of my blog in reader, none of my other posts appeared. I’m worried that no one can see my posts now?

Hi there!
One thing to check is your privacy settings and make sure they are set to Public, so that search engines may index your site. If your blog is set to Hidden, it may not show up in Reader. You can find instructions for changing your privacy settings on this page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
Another thing that sometimes is responsible for posts not showing up in Reader is using 15+ tags on a post. I checked your last few posts and they were all under 15, but that is something to watch out for, if you don’t already.
I’ve also tagged this for Staff to view. In researching this issue, I found a number of old forum questions that needed Staff intervention to resolve the issue. Someone should check it out fairly soon.

I just checked, and my privacy settings are set to public, so I’m pretty sure that’s not where the problem is.
I’m also usually very careful with the amount of tags I use on a post – but thank you for the reminder!

You’re welcome! It sounds like you’ve got your settings right so hopefully it’s just something small on the backend.
Someone from Staff should see this in a few hours (if not sooner) and can hopefully get Sarah’s Bookshelves in the Reader where it belongs. :)

Where exactly are you trying to find your post?
Your site is appearing in the Reader just fine, and your most recent post is also appearing for me:
https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/82774804
If you search for your site’s title using the Search bar in the Reader there’s no guarantee your posts will show up. That Search feature works similarly to Google Search, returning results based on relevant key words found in your post content, and ranked based on how many likes, shares and comments specific posts have received.

My posts weren’t showing up last night but they are in the reader now.
