  We own the domain derbyfit.com through Shopify. We want to create a blog for our website. Is it possible to use derbyfit.com/blog on the WordPress site? We want to use WordPress for the blog because I have been told it is more user friendly. Thank you.

  Hi there,

  You can use blog.derbyfit.com, but not derbyfit.com/blog – we don’t support connecting a site to a subdirectory, only to a subdomain.

  There’s a few steps to set this up:

  First, create a new WordPress.com site at https://wordpress.com/start/site/, and upgrade it to a paid plan (required to use your own domain/subdomain).

  Next, on your domain provide’s end, add a CNAME record to point the blog subdomain to your free WordPress.com address for the new site.

  Last, add the domain connection upgrade on our end.
