  Hello! I am trying to set up a new blog on WordPress. I have a domain name that I own which I registered through Go Daddy. I am confused on whether or not to transfer to WordPress or go through the ‘domain mapping’ procedure. My primary concerns are 1) I do not want any extensions on my address like ‘example.wordpress.com’ and 2) I want to make things as easy as possible for me to manage my site/blog.

  How do I proceed?

  – Transfering domain and mapping domain will make you rid of this address.

  I want to make things as easy as possible for me to manage my site/blog.

  – if you want to keep it as simple as possible then you can map your domain with WordPress account because for that you just need to change the DNS settings on GoDaddy and map the domain to your WordPress site. For more information on it open the link below:

  But transferring the domain to WordPress can also be a good option as your domain and hosting both will be under WordPress.com. for more details on transferring please follow the link:
