  When I want to put my blog in a subdomain, wordpress doesn’t support “www”. What will happen then, when someone types: “www.subdomain.mydomain.com”? Does it mean they will be directed to a Error 404 page?

  No it means that every time anyone uses the antiquainted “www” (word wide web) they will be seamlessly redirected to the same content at the URL without the “www”.
