Blog Email Not Recognized

  CTR, I tried to follow a blog, but WP will not recognize my email address. How do I fix this?

  Hi there,

  Can you let me know what email address you tried to use to follow the blog? (Your email address will be redacted in the support forum for your privacy, but staff can still see it.)

  Also, can you let me know the steps you took and the exact error message you received when you tried to follow the blog? That will help me investigate this for you. Thanks!

  Hello,

  I attempted to follow someone else’s blog and WP required me to log on with my email address. After I entered my address and password, WP reported an error about my email address. “Try again with valid email address.” I tried several times to no avail.

  I was able to follow the blog, but I had to log onto my account as I would normally and then press the follow button. If I wasn’t logged in, WP did not recognize my address as valid.

  Hi Keith, I’m glad you were able to follow the blog in the end.

  If you don’t mind, a couple more details would help me investigate this further:

  • Can you give me a link to the blog that you tried to follow?
  • When you attempted to follow the blog, where did you click on the screen? (For example, did you use the “Follow” button in the lower right corner of the screen, a subscription form in the sidebar/footer, or something else?
