Blog Entry Not Showing Up In Catagories

I posted an entry (http://canyouspeakthis.wordpress.com/2007/12/26/top-25-censored-news-stories-of-2007/) and when I click on the catagories to see if it was posted in the specific catagory page for all of wordpress (ie: http://wordpress.com/tag/police-state/), it doesn’t show up. every post that i’ve done before this specific post, and after this post, have all shown up. For some reason, it’s just this post that doesnt show up. What gives? Thanks.

There seems to be something going on with tags. You have a ton of tags assigned to this post. Go in and pare them down to say 10 and see what happens. I think you will find that it will show up. It’s at least worth a try. There was another thread where someone was experiencing the same thing and they also had a bunch of tags. When they cut down on the number of tags, it showed up.
It may be (but this is speculation) that there is a limit on the number of tags somehow, planned or not.

Also note that there may be a lag between you posting and it showing up under tags depending on server loads.

You’re welcome. You may want to contact support and see if they can give you an idea of what is happening. They have never said anything about a tag limit, but obviously from what I’ve seen today there must be some limit either intended or unintended.

A blogger with the same problem this morning solved it by greatly reducing the number of categories being assigned to the post. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=19512
IMO having a limit set is a great improvement over what we had before. Individual bloggers were assigning as many as 80+ to individual posts and then assigning the same 80+ to every post they made. (No, I’m not kidding.) There were complaints about this variety of category/tag spamming that seemed to be designed to game the system and, I think, although I don’t know for sure, that those complaints were heard and were acted upon.

Yes, I remember those. The list of tags was nearly as long as the posts. I agree there should be a limit.
