Blog excerpts not showing on homepage

I’m using the Oxygen theme, with a featured slider. However, none of my blog posts are showing up in the “recent articles” or “more articles” section underneath. Is this because my blog is new and all my posts are in the featured slider?

In Oxygen, there is no way to show posts in both the featured post slider and the Recent Articles area. It’s been designed to not to have duplicated posts on the Showcase Page template page. Also note there is no option to display more than three Recent Articles on the Showcase Page template.

There can be only one Showcase template page on any blog. It’s an either or choice.
