Blog Exists But Does Not Show Up In Main Dashboard – Trying to Delete

I am unable to delete https://darksorceress.wordpress.com/. I’m pretty sure I’m using the right email because I received a notification regarding the blog through it. It doesn’t show up in the dashboard, and when I tried going to the blog itself, I can’t find an option to delete it anywhere.

You have to be logged in under the username account that registered the site. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/darksorceress

You have to log out of this account, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login under the exact same username account that registered that site.

Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:

    http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

    * You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with your actual blog’s name in that URL.

If the log-in information is lost you need to visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

If you check each and every possible email address and account and are not successful gaining access to the blog(s) then you must complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff, and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access.

If you cannot provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access then you have reached a dead end.

While trying to delete the blog, I changed by username and now logging in directly tells me dashboard access is denied. I tried submitting the Account Recovery form, but the form keeps telling me that the activation URL (from 7+ years ago) is “invalid” or doesn’t recognize it so I can’t submit. I’ve tried the whole link, part of the link, or just the code part. What can I do in this case?

My email is the correct email for the blog I’m trying to delete, and I still have access to it, after the username change I can’t get back to the dashboard.

When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

    Hi there,

What I can do is e-mail the address associated with the account so that you can check all of your e-mails and see which one receives the message. All you would need to do is respond from that e-mail to verify ownership. Then, I will definitely be able to assist you in regaining access.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

That would be great, thanks. I don’t see anything though. Has that email already been sent? I only realized I still had a blog left up when I received a subscription alert at that email. And I have the original activation link email for that blog.

    Hi there,

Yes – I have already sent the e-mail. Please check your spam folder because our e-mails sometime end up there.

I checked and it’s not there. The reason why I think the email is the one I checked is 1) I received a subscription alert for the blog this week at that email 2) found a copy of the activation email for the blog. The email address is the original one i signed up with. Either it’s not sending for some reason, or there’s another email that it changed to but if so it’s probably been recycled by now from disuse. I checked everything else I could remember. What can be done from here?

I have the original activation link, but the form doesn’t recognize the link as valid. Is there some way to privately message the link? I don’t have the other two types of ownership proof.

Yes, let me e-mail you so you can send me that link.
