  Hello!

  My association has a website shaconline.org and it seems to have expired. I cannot access it from our account. How do i re-register it? been trying everything! please help :)

  I reviewed your account and I found that shaconline.org expired 42 days ago on 2011-09-17. Because the domain has been expired for so long, it may not be possible to recover it. Sometimes it’s possible to recover an expired domain for an additional $80 which is imposed by the registar. If you are interested in that, let us know and we will check to see if it is an option for you in this case.

  I’ve checked up on this domain again and I found that someone else has already purchased the expired shaconline.org domain, and so it is no longer available to recover from redemption. Is there anything I can do to help you with a different domain?

  Thank you for checking for us. Its pretty upsetting that we can not renew it. I know its expired, but we only got the rights to access it only recently by the old executives. Is there a domain we can get that is similar to the shaconline.org as we are an association and cannot just change out name. Do you have any recommendations for a student association domain?

  Play around with your association name a bit and see what you can find – you can be close to the old name – but TOO close can lead to confusion by your group – short is good – most of the plain initials are used but try any way

  Our Association – oa.com, ourassn.com etc. and just see what is not used – then register the new name and map it to your base blog here if you want, or where ever you old base site is.

  Ok Thanks about the info for a new domain.

  When i did finally got access to our old website, i tried to re-register it and the cost of 25. 52. As i was not able to register our old blog. I would like to be refunded. Also it charged my credit card 4 times= 102.08. I want that money back how do i go about getting it?

  There should be a refund button in the Dashboard >> Stores area but with multiple charges you will probably need to ask the staff for help:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ search on anything then page down and fill in the form.

  @shacvpcomms I’ve made sure all 4 transactions are refunded. The money should appear back on your account in a few days.
