Hello everyone.
I published my blog this am, copied and pasted the url into Facebook as I do every Friday and this week it will not accept it. I can copy it and I can paste it and then it stops there. FB won’t respond. Thought it was a Facebook problem, but I tried to type in the url, and it says ‘oops page not found.’

We have no idea whether or not something is wrong at the Facebook end of things.
We have no control over the images that Twitter, Facebook or any other social networks chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.

Not every theme has featured images; only some do. Yours is a very old retired theme that does not have them.

What is the size of the featured image that you set please?

Yes. That is the image. I don’t know what size it is. I don’t get WordPress to be honest with you, but I have miraculously been able to publish a blog with a pic for years and then suddenly today nothing is working.

Good Morning –
I ran the link provided through the Facebook debugging tool.
It looks to have done the trick. The featured image is displaying with the shared link when I test it on Facebook now.
Can you give it another try and let me know how it works out?

I scraped the post link again through the Facebook debugger, now the second image is connected to the post link. When I test the link on Facebook it is showing the image properly. Fantastic!
All you should need to do is copy + paste the link of the post and run it through this Facebook Debugger. Paste the link into the text box, and click the blue Debug button out to the right of the box.
There will be some information that populates, look for the Scrape button towards the top and click that. It should do the trick :)
