Blog – Featured Image Getting Cropped
-
Hello! I have a question about our Blog posts. When we set our featured image, we typically use 850×400, we found this fits our site best and looks good. However, when we copy the blog link and post on another site (such as Linkedin) it crops the picture. I originally thought this was a Linkedin setting, but I help manage another site that uses a similar WordPress setup and when they use an 850×400 image in a post, it doesn’t crop it on the Linkedin preview. I realize Linkedin does allow you to delete the preview image and upload your own, but I was just wondering if there is some kind of setting in WordPress that forces linked images to be cropped or something. I can give an example or a blog post from both of our sites, both having the same image size, and both hosted on wordpress, however 1 image will always be cropped.
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Hi there,
It would be helpful If you could share your website URL with us & also example you were talking about -
https://sharedspaceatl.com/is-a-joint-venture-the-best-approach-to-coworking-for-owners/
https://commissiontrac.com/blog/buying-a-property-with-cryptocurrency-pros-and-cons/
Here are the 2 sites. So if you were to copy that link and post on Linkedin, it would crop our site (CommissionTrac)’s blog. I see it slightly crops SharedSpace, but nowhere near as much. Just curious what setting could be causing this.
Here is an image comparing the 2 posts https://i.imgur.com/pQ7obfz.png
If you compare the 2 images to the original, you can see that the CommissionTrac blog gets cropped a lot more
