Blog featured images on home panels

    Hi,

    I’d like to know how do I configure the featured image to appear in Home panels. As it is now, Blog posts appear only with text, without featured image on Home, featured images only appear if you open Blog page. My site is: http://beckymarques.wordpress.com

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi :)

    I also have the Lodestar theme so I think I can help you. Using your wp-admin panel, under the “APPEARANCE” menu option, select “CUSTOMIZE”. This will open a new menu. There will be a list of options to customize, here you will choose “CONTENT OPTIONS”. Once you have selected this, another menu will open up. This is where you will need to look at the “Featured Images” selections. I am assuming that the box marked “display on pages” is currently not checked, make sure you check that box, and your images should start showing :)

    @beckout,

    The featured images set on posts will not be displayed in the panel set to display the blog page. It might be possible to add featured images with CSS Customization. An alternative that wouldn’t require purchase of a paid plan would be to replace the blog page with a static page that has Display Posts Shortcode inserted, customized to include featured images. A basic example shortcode:
    [display-posts image_size="medium"]

    Thanks for the attempt. However, checking the “display on pages” setting at Customize > Content Options > Featured Images will cause featured images set on static pages to be displayed, but will not cause featured images to be displayed in a panel set to display the blog page.

    When I say “replace the blog page with a static page,” I mean in a panel.
