Blog Feed Formatting

    In my blog feeds on each page, the formatting does not represent the format of the actual post on the page. Further, the words often run together without any formatting at all, sometimes on one single line.

    I write poetry, stories, and literary tid-bits so it’s important that all formatting is uniform – whether in the preview on the page or in the actual post.

    Is there a way this can be fixed?
    Is there a different theme I should be using?

    Currently use ‘Coherent’ theme.

    Hi there,

    You are referring to your homepage as an example of this issue, yes?

    One thing I noticed is that the theme you are using (Coherent) is one of our older themes… it’s about 10 years old at this point. The issue is that our block editor is fairly new since it was launched in the last few years, so Coherent was never designed with blocks in mind.

    Like all our themes it does have basic compatibility with the new editor, but some blocks (or some settings within blocks) are not fully compatible. That seems to be the case with your homepage, which is using the Blog Posts block, and it seems that the theme is struggling to display that formatting since it was never intended for use with that block.

    So with that in mind, I would suggest that you switch to one of our newer themes, which are 100% compatible with the Blog Posts block, as well as all other blocks we offer.

    Jerry, thanks so much for that thorough explanation. I enjoyed Coherent a lot due to its simplicity and dark contrast with light, but I will give the others a try. This was really helpful either way.
