Blog for a Writers' Group

  I wish to set up a blog for a writers’ group. The blog should be private (not visible on the Internet), except that people I invite should be able to see all posts, make their own posts, make comments and upload media. I think this means that they should be authors.
  How should I set this up?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
