  Hi there, I’m looking to create a blog section for my company’s website.
  The website was created on it own and would like to find out what’s the plan I have to take to use this blog as a sub directory?

  What’s the URL of the website that you’re working on? From what you wrote, I understand that it is not hosted on WordPress.com but you would like to create a blog hosted here and link it to your original page?

  I’m thinking that you could create a blog here and map a subdomain as explained here:

  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-subdomain/

  If you can give us some more details on what exactly are you trying to achieve, we can advise better. :)
