Blog Formatting Fail
-
I switched my blog (Path to Formición) theme from the Suits theme to the Nucleare theme, and then customized the Nucleare theme to have red lettering.
The problem is that since the switch, the pictures in posts are not showing up on the main page.
Instead, one has to click the post to see there is a photo attached. This was not a problem with the Suits theme. Without the pictures displayed, when one goes to my blog it looks fairly barren.
I am new to WordPress blogging, but I know visual presentation matters. I would like help increasing the visual appeal.
Thank you in advance!

Only some themes display the featured image on the blog page, and in some themes the featured image is only displayed for certain post format types (i.e. image post format, etc.). Could you provide a link to a couple of posts where the featured image isn’t being displayed on the blog page and I’ll take a look?

Hi @Kathrynwp,
So, it sounds like I may need to switch themes. There are two types of posts where the images are not displaying: image and quote posts.
An example of two are below.https://pathtoform.wordpress.com/2016/01/22/1-thought-thursday-2/

How a theme chooses to display the featured image is an aesthetic decision made by each theme’s designer. So it’s not that you picked a “bad” them but that you picked one that doesn’t display the featured image in a way that you prefer. :)
Feel free to choose a theme that displays images in a way that best suits your needs.

Thanks, @kathrynwp. I’ve switched to another theme and will just keep looking to see what displays my blog in the best light.
