Blog glitch

Hi! So I just started making my blog a few days ago, I finished it and everything looked great in editor. But as soon as I went to preview nothing looked the way it did in editor! I saved at every step and tried everything I could think of and yet nothing worked. I launched my site to see if maybe it was just the preview portion That had this Problem but it was not. I would love some help with this! Much obliged Allie

  • Hi Allie, can you send a link to the post or page that’s giving you issues? Also, please get a screenshot of what you’re expecting, and another with what you see instead. Upload both to your media library, then update us here along with the site link.

This is the home page. the contact page is also giving me a fair bit of issues.
Here is the link for that one:

Again thank you so much for your help!

  • Ah I see the issue. You’re using the wave style with text, but, when you shrink your screen you’re getting white on white. Is that it?

Can I recommend switching that block so there is no top-wave on it, then putting another full-width cover block with a top wave, same color, just above it? That way no matter how narrow or wide the screen is, the important stuff will always have a background color behind it. The editor will show a gap between the blocks for navigation purposes, but it won’t show on the site itself.

Also, just as one bit of feedback, these old eyes don’t see the contrast between the bright aqua and white quite so well. If you could darken the color just a little it might be easier to read, but it’s up to you. Something like #00c5c5 was fairly easy for me to see.
