Blog going haywire. Lost comments, lost followers….

  Was there a melt-down at some point in the past couple of days?

  I’ve had bloggers complain about comments not posting and, much to my horror, the number of people following via email has dropped from 630+ down to 70… could you please check to see what has happened? Can the lost followers be restored from a backup?

  You must reconnect your Facebook and twitter from publicize . Something went wrong. That worked for me. From 14.000 followers to 46 and now back at 7k, have to tell all your authors to re enable their publicize connections

  I don’t think this is something the community will be able to help with. How can I get this raised with WordPress themselves?

  Hey, Chuck, thanks…

  That was a quick response… Like you, I got back half (355), but does this mean they’re still there just not showing up in a count, or does it mean they’ve disappeared into the ether.

  Staff are working on the followers feature. Do not panic. Be patient and over time the numbers will rectify.
