Blog hacked
-
I recently had a comment posted by a user in my blog and the reply option does not show up. I am involved in a dispute with people willing to hack my website to prove a point. Can someone contact me about my blog at mort101.wordpress.com
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Your site mort101.wordpress.com is loading fine. May I know what makes you think that your blog is hacked?
By the way, the username of the site is mortenwatkins. Are you having trouble logging in using that username? Have you tried the password reset form?
If you’re worried that your account might be hacked or been accessed without your permission, please change/reset your password and turn on the Two Step Authentication.
I’ve also added a modlook tag for staff assistance to see if there’s any suspicious activity on your account.

I guess I wasn’t clear. The comments on my website are my concern. I think one guy is posting over and over again using a program to change his IP address. So even if I block him he can make a new threatening comment.
I changed my password already and have had two stage authentication for a while. -
I see. Sorry for misunderstanding your question earlier.
A modlook tag has been added, rest assured that a staff member will attend to your issue. Please do expect some delay in their response as they’re having a company meetup currently. Thank you for your patience.

Hi there,
I don’t see any suspicious activity on your @mortenwatkins account or your site (mort101.wordpress.com). Can you please let me the posts where that person left those comments and also let me know its username if you know it?

Do you mean the comments are being left on a post published on tecmobowl.org?
If so, this site was created with self hosted WordPress.org software and isn’t connected to WordPress.com any way there. Therefore, the WordPress.org support forums will the best place to ask for advice — since we can only help with sites hosted on WordPress.com here.

Hi –
My suggestion is to double down on your comment moderation settings for the time being and use the black list feature.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/unwanted-comments/
It can be a little tedious to manually approve every comment but it keeps these random things from being displayed on the site before your eyes see them privately first.
As far as replying to them – you won’t be able to reply to anything in the spam folder. I think that is the situation that you’re finding yourself in at the moment.

Not much help blocking someone who can change there ip and keep coming back. It looks like you can’t help me. I was hoping you had some advanced web security that could tell it’s the same computer generating multiple false ip addresses.

Our internal spam filters will learn by what you are marking as spam. If errant comments are coming through, continue to mark them as spam, to help the system learn. It should resolve fairly soon.
