Blog hacked?
-
I found an untitled post on my blog site, not written by me. I have trashed it and sent my query on what to do to the community and got advice to change my password. I would be grateful if staff would have a look at my site please…searandyellowleaf….I am still learning the technicalities and was not expecting such a thing. Thank you in advance.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your first thread which has an earlier datestamp and timestamp has been tagged for Staff and posting this one will not result in getting help any more quickly. Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in order of datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected. How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.
If you keep posting into a thread that has been tagged for Staff previously or create a new one the datestamps and timestamps move forward and it takes longer to get help.
Go to your email program and change the password to a very difficult one because that’s how many hackers gain access to blogs.
Then read this please and act on what you find there > http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/1. If you can log-in go here > Users > All Users and delete any user that does not belong there.
2. Disable post by email > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/
3. Disable post by voice > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-voice/
4. Change your blog password to a very difficult one > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password
5. Use a secure, encrypted connection to connect to your Dashboard. Under Users → Personal Settings, check the box that says “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages, and click Save Changes.
P.S. Blogs do not get hacked unless you fail to follow security protocols.
Who has access to your login information?
Did you use the same password for your email account and your blog?
Are you sharing log-in information with anyone or leaving it where anyone can locate it?
Is your password a weak one that others can easily guess?
Are you remaining logged in on your computer so anyone can come along and access your blog through it?
Are you using a wifi connection and not using the https:// login?Return to https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/blog-hacking-1?replies=9#post-1756844 rather than continuing to post to this thread please, as it’s in your best interest to do so.
