Blog hacking?
-
Someone has got I to my blog and written a post. I am not that tech savvy and am so shocked and don’t know what to do. Please tell me what I should do other than just delete it. I found this on the blog reader just now. Please help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The only “hacked” sites I have seen here have been people getting the password somehow to a site so you do want to be careful how you log in and use a tough password.
You should also check to make sure that someone has not added a new user to your site. Problems have also happened when there was more than one Admin. and an Admin left on less than graceful terms.
Dashboard >> Users
Many times a users email is hacked or the password guessed and the email account is used to get access by requesting a password reset – you need to change your email password and make sure they nobody has been added to your email account.
You should also run a virus check on you PC to make sure your PC does not have a security issue that has compromised your email or WordPress.COM log-in information (also your bank etc. if you do online banking or retirement accounts)
There have also been a few Posts on “hacked” sites and it was because someone got the Post by Email address and using the Post by Email to send in new Posts, if you have Post by email disable the Post by Email and regenerate the address. Spammers have scripts the generate email addresses and they sometimes can get a valid address for a Post by Email address.
If you are really concerned you could as the staff to look at your site: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
You could also use a secure log-in in case you are on an unsecured link: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
I have also flagged this for staff attention

I have a weird problem that I’m confused about, I noticed that my blog avatar (photo) has disappeared and in place is a purple pattern, when I clicked on the pattern (where the photo should be) it goes to a random website! How did that happen and how do I solve it??

@susanddhavle, it doesn’t look like you have post by email enabled on your blog http://searandyellowleaf.wordpress.com/ and I don’t see any evidence that the site has been hacked.
In order to post on your site, it’s likely that one of the following things has happened:
1) Someone has access to (or has guessed) your username and password and is logging in as you, or
2) You are using a shared computer and are remaining logged in when someone else uses the machine. To resolve #1 I would immediately change both your WordPress.com password and the password to the associated email address. You can also implement two-step authentication for additional security.
To resolve #2 if using a shared computer, you should always log out of WordPress.com and other accounts when you’re done with a session.
@veganapanda please continue your discussion in the other thread, as yours is not related to the issue posted by susanddhavle.
