Blog harassing me
-
Yesterday someone began posting some very ugly statements about me on a wordpress hosted free blog, which includes my real name and the business I’m in, which makes it very easy for me to be identified.
It has been started by someone who doesn’t know me, wasn’t aware of me until yesterday.
The person who is getting this blogger to write these lies and hurtful things has been reported to the police and they are looking into it. As such they have gotten someone else to do their dirty work.
I have reported this to wordpress but wonder if it can be expedited.
Thanks

Sorry I don’t know – looking at threads flagged for staff help the staff that help in the forum are a few days behind – I don’t know if there is any backlog with the Terms of Service group
I did flag this for staff attention

Just bumping this up because I haven’t heard from anyone. Can a mod or staff please respond.

Staff provide support for millions of bloggers. I’m sorry but Staff have a considerable backlog of threads tagged for their attention. They work through them in chronological order based on datestamps and timestamps by working their way forward from the earliest to the most recent.
How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.
Please don’t bump your thread here again by posting into it because it’s not in your best interest to post to it again after it has been tagged for Staff help. Thread bumping moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response.
More to the point is this.
WordPress.COM Staff are responsible only for enforcing the Terms of Service http://en.wordpress.com/tos/ and policies found in the support docs made under it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/ And, Terms of Service complaints are matters that are not discussed on these public support forums that are available to all with internet access. Provided you have specific grounds to complain, you need to file a complaint and submit it to WordPress.COM Terms of Service Staff. Please read these so you know how to proceed:

Hi @kittyldn,
The address to which you have submitted your complaint routes your concern directly to a group of employees who’s entire job is reviewing such complaints and helping in any way that they can within the confines of the law and our own Terms of Service.
Given the massive number of blogs and the exponentially larger number of posts which are made every day, that department is quite small. It can indeed take some time for these complaints to be addressed, and I am sorry for that delay.
Given that this is a public forum, it is best for everyone that specifics not be addressed here. Instead I can only tell you that your best recourse is to wait until you receive a response. I assure you that we will do anything that we can. I understand that you are very reasonably anxious for a resolution, and we are working to handle both yours and other complaints as quickly as possible.
Thank you in advance for your patience.

Because they have seen it and reviewed it and decided that it doesn’t meet the takedown standard.
