Blog has been up for three days, I have 5k views….is this good?

So the first day I posted it i got 3.7k
Next was about 500
and today was 800(pretty disappointed about that)Whats the best way to get more readers, my topic is pretty niche so i post it on reddit and I have had some success from what I can tell since I know a lot of blogs do no not start off this well.
I am new to the whole blogging thing so I am curious as to how to get my blog out there. I have only selected theme for it and that is about it.

Quite frankly I’ve never heard of a non-celebrity blog getting numbers like that. It’s insane. Most blogs do not break a thousand views in their first YEAR, cumulatively.
There are a thousand or more tips already in the forum on how to increase traffic. One thing I’ll say is: don’t continue to post links to your own blog on Reddit. They will eat you alive once they figure it out.

In the sub Reddit that I post my blog in, I don’t think the reddit mods mind since a lot of people post theirs and they are very strict about when someone violates the code. So I imagine it’s okay.

Once again, you boggle my mind. They were so nasty to me that I haven’t been back to Reddit since literally before they invented subreddits.
