Blog has disappeared – please help

I cannot find my blog at all Book Club Rebel – it was a book club referral page. I had blog posts and columns. Please help, I am glad to buy the page URL but I was never given the chance to do so and never sent an email about this. It is just disappeared, vanished.

The domain appears to have been purchased at GoDaddy and redirects to a WIX site.
https://www.whois.com/whois/bookclubrebel.comWhere did you have the blog posts before moving the domain? Was it hosted at WordPress.com or a different web host? An archive of the site I see appears that it was a WordPress powered site but not hosted at WordPress.com. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.

Sorry for confusion – the Wix site was one we thought about doing but didn’t build. The other one that says ‘under construction’ (I think on WP) isn’t it either. The one I’m looking for had posts, book club reviews and content. I’m baffled as to where it went?

OK – when I searched using WordPress.org instead of .com I got a strange “this account has been suspended” page and maybe Russian? (Trying to figure out how to paste screenshot here!)

As far as I can see you had the content on a host outside of WordPress.com, then changed the domain to point to WIX instead. A lot of people get these two confused, it’s easy to do. A solution would be to change the domain back to the old host, as long as you’re still paying for their services.

It’s confusing but no – the Wix Page was just an early incarnation..never transferred the content. Created a WordPress blog..the address was http://www.bookclubrebel.com – it is gone.

Yes, but what I’m trying to say is that it was a WordPress.org blog on another host, not hosted at WordPress.com. Do you remember the web host you used before? They would have the content for your site.

Hi there,
The domain, BookClubrebel.com, has never been connected to any site on WordPress.com.
That domain is registered with GoDaddy.com, and from what I can see at https://securitytrails.com/domain/BookClubrebel.com/history/a it has been pointed to GoDaddy since at least October 2016. At the moment it appears to be getting redirected to http://amybonesteel.wix.com/book-club-rebel, but that redirect could only have been set up on GoDaddy’s end, as they control that domain.
So please contact GoDaddy for help with this, as your site’s files are most likely on their servers.

The domain thelonghousebali.com is registered through ENOM. Therefore, in order to properly map the subdomain blog.thelonghousebali.com, you need to contact them and ask them to help you add the appropriate CNAME records as outlined in these instructions:
