Blog header

I amvery new to this blog thing…..I started yesterday. I started a blog and remember at the top of my blog I had a little mini nav bar, it allowed me to jump to dashboard, or a different blog, or goto a random blog among other things. This has disapeared, any ideas how I can get this back? It is quiet useful

Is this your blog? It just helps to know so we can work out what’s going on and if you’re in the right place (a lot of people mix up WP.com and WP.org).I think what you’re describing though is that you’ve logged out. As long as you’re logged in on WP, you’ll see the blue mini-dashboard on any WordPress blog; but when you’ve logged out, it disappears. Try the link below; it should let you enter your username and password and log you back in again. Hope it helps. :)

Also you can link your username here in the forums to your blog by going to view your profile > edit > website and entering the address of your blog.

http://www.oldtownfloristweddings.wordpress.com is the blog I am currently working on. I am logged on, I thought the mini nav bar would appear when viewing the actual blog, not the admin area. Is this possible? Maybe I have been blogging too hard and I am seeing things!

You won’t see it when you’re in the admin area, but you need to sign in for it to work… it’s kind of a catch 22. If you go to your admin and sign in, you can then click view site and then you should be able to see your blog and the bar.
If you are logged on, though, and you still can’t see it, it might be a browser issue. Which browser are you using, Firefox, IE, Safari? Have you tried clearing your browser cache? Sometimes webpages reload past versions to load faster, so clearing your cache should fix that. See if that helps; otherwise I’ll need to think about what else it might be.
